Hi there,

I spend most of my time on the Tech board, but this question/request is not technical.

I have Classic Cobra floorboards. The chrome is flaking and they are not in great shape generally.

I am considering the Swept boards but have not seen these on a Valkyrie IS yet, or on a C or T for that
matter.

Anyone here have a picture of the Swept Cobra boards installed? Thanks for your time.

Best regards,

Glenn
Ps. I did look through most do the 13-14 pages of the picture thread

If you speak nicely to Cobra customer service they may replace the floor boards.

I bought the so called "new" swept from HDL last year in May. By October they started flaking real bad. By the time i got to call to replace them it was January. They had me call Cobra cause they have to do warranty issues. He said the mounts for the valkyrie were discontinied. I had to take mine appart and send just the boards in and then they sent me new ones. I received the new ones and guess what. One of the new ones were flaking rite out of the box. Almost as bad as Kuryakyn uglystupid2

The problem is the boards we use are actually rear boards for other bikes.  Just the mount is different.  When I had my 1100 Shadow Tourer I had Cobra Swept Boards on it and didn't have a problem with them.  The Cobra front boards for other cruisers are stamped steel and that holds chrome a lot better than aluminum does.  Especially when the manufacturer only does the chrome layer not the nickel and copper layers needed underneath.
