In less than one minute, Chris Matthews calls Romney a Full Mooner, Anti-science, a Flat Earther, Anti-evolution, collaberating with birthers, and the ultimate bash about a white man running against a black man...........Grand Wizard (while speaking with a black guy no less). Guess his leg must have tingled all the brains and civility out of his head. Way to go Chris!
And before Anvil says I made this up in a post that I won't read,....... yes, I did. I drove 5 hours to D.C., handed out scripts to Matthews and Steele, and recorded it on my smartphone to post on youtube. (BTW, what's a full mooner anyway?)

I'm tired of all the bashing from every side. I'm tired of all the conspiracy theories. I'm tired of the douchebag TV talking heads on both sides. I'm tired of the left, the right, the center, the top, the bottom...all of it. I've finally reached the point where I refuse to discuss politics at all. I'd rather hear about someone's anal leakage than their political views. I keep my viewpoint to myself and generally walk away when the subject comes up. I'll vote my opinion but there's just no point in trying to convince anyone else.

And we have to listen to it for several more months....no wait when one side wins we have to listen to it for four years (doesn't matter which side)...All I know is someone must be doing something wrong if these are the two best people we can find out of 300 million to run for the office.

If these elected tormentors are the best and brightest, I know some truck drivers, and even a lawyer (Oss) that can run circles around em. As for leakage,,,not so much. BTW, I believe in Santa Claus.

I actually look at these political posts and sometimes even learn stuff both from the Left and the Right leaners. I can't talk politics at work, my kids are not political at all, age 34 and 38 and never voted, my wife falls asleep if I run politics past her. The news shows are biased depending on what station you end up on. This board just may be the only truly Fair and Balanced source I have! I am truly sorry if it offends folks to discuss politics, for me it's just information. http://www.politicalcompass.org/ This is an interesting site to see your political leanings, I was shock at my score. It scores not just left or right leaning but authoritarian or libertarian, interesting! If you take the test where do you end up?

I too can't really discuss politics at work or with the Mrs. My daughter can hold her own (at 17 no less), but I have learned a lot from some of the bretheren here, and except for 2 over-the-topers, my back and forth with folks that have opposing views are generally great.

I don't often participate here on any political posts, but I do try to read most of them. I have my own opinions, but try to stay open-minded and see issues from more than one angle. I encourage discussion with both of my college -age sons to hear their views on issues. We don't always agree, but at least we have a healthy discussion and I feel good knowing they aren't totally consumed with unimportant nonsense. They do have their eyes and ears open and are trying to understand what is going on around them. Don't give weight to bashing ads... filter what you see and hear in the media... watch the candidates answer questions and hear what they say ( and watch for what they don't say) directly from them, and not just who speaks loudest. I have also made a point to participate at every level.... local, state and national elections... even if I felt it was only a choice in picking the "least worst". Too many people have sacrificed way too much for us not to participate.

What I have come to learn however is that the best and brightest, of either persuasion, who should run..and could run and make a difference..WON'T run. Imagine trying to survive the attacks, investigations and background checks (what they call vetting). It's a shame really..

So I can't decide. I have always voted but i am thinking about not voting anymore. If you vote they say you can't complain about who is in office but by voting you are agreeing that the corupt and unfair way elect federal posts is ok????? ??? ???

I went through the survey, and found the answer listings for the questions to be 'not relative to the questions. Very limiting and very directional. If you ask the questions, and supply the only available answers... You will get the results you are looking for... The survey did not reflect my feelings at all.. I would have to say 'bogus'

Yea, Hotglue I think you got something there. I scored more as a liberal than I'd care to think I am! Possibly the think is Bull-Pucky.

I was scored in a place that I'm absolutely sure I don't belong.

I was surprised at my score, pretty much in the center.. I'm a staunch conservative when it comes to government spending but believe folks should be able to do pretty much whatever they like as long as it doesn't infringe on anyone else.. I really didn't care for the wording of most of the questions but still gave the test an honest try..

Just took the tes.
First off, notise the spelling of words such as "civilisation. This is a European spelling of and English word.
Second, Which "races" are they referring to in the question saking is our race was more.......?
Third, some of the questions force certain answers as stated before by others.
I scored a drop Left of center and a drop down towards Libertarian. I guess it's kind of close to how I view myself. I feel that I am a fiscal conservative with liberal social views, although, as time goes on, and I see the human race for what it actually is, my social views are becoming more conservative. I feel there are too many in society that are stretching the limits of decorum in directions that are not beneficial to our society as a whole.

While we're at it, I like this one a lot more: http://www.theadvocates.org/quizGranted, it's biased towards libertarianism, but that's okay with me. I'm a libertarian!

I was scored in a place that I'm absolutely sure I don't belong. me and the wife were below the center line and 2 boxes over for her and 4 boxes over for me. I'm a bit beyond center right. you might need to reread the questions, some were not straight forward.
