I didn't want to hijack your post re. the petcock but here's my problem; I adapted an '83 Wing trunk mount to the Valk, and it comes with two locks to release the trunk which lets you carry it away. And naturally, the trunk also has a lock. But....they came from two different bikes and are mounted on a third bike...MINE!  So, when I travel with the trunk and mount installed, I'm carrying keys like a jailer. By coincidence, all the keys will insert into each and every other lock, but obviously the tumblers don't match. Here's what it looks like, you can see the locks on the underside of the mount.

Is it possible to remove the locks and have a local shop match them to the bike key? Or at the very least, match the trunk and trunk mount keys. As it is now, when I have it mounted I have to mark the individual keys so I don't mix them up. The locks on the mount are easy to remove, haven't looked at the trunk.  Sure would make life less complicated.  crazy2

Just judging by the pictures.
Id have to say yes they can be keyed alike by any competent locksmith.
Luggage type locks are generally lever or waffer type and alot of guys dont have a clue.
Most locksmiths are just lock replacers down here.
I tell my customers nothing down here is over 35 years old................except the dammed people!!!!!!
Me Im a dinosuar as far as locksmiths go.
I did mainly automotive from 1970-96.
I still do it but shy away from older cars here in Florida.
Too much sun damage. I get blammed for ripped everything.
Remove a screw from plastic steering collum and the whole stud breaks off!!!!!!!!!!!

Any locksmith worth his salt will be able to " key " all the same.I'd guess between $35 - $50.00 . Ride the bike to his business that way you can check everything while you have him there.
