Went to my local Mcds fer breakfast this morning and this is what i was confronted with. The $1.00 breakfast burritto is now a $1.19-an increase of 19%. My senoir coffee is now $.59-it used to be $.50-an increase of %18. Gasoline in my area went from $3.099 to $3.729 back to $3.559. Gas prices from Jan 2012 til now. Things keep going like this i may need to get a job to enjoy my retirement more!! I also realize a lot of other services and products have increased in price but judging from what some folks are telling us i KNOW they have not done their own shopping lately or took notice of how much it cost to fill their vehicle with gasoline or diesel. Not a political attack-just a slice of things a lot of folks are confronted with everyday. Why am i spending more and enjoying it less?? Rant off-fer now. RIDE SAFE.

My wife and I were discussing the price of gas a few days ago. I told her that gas wasn't really that high compared to what she spends on groceries, about $120.00/wk. I can fill my truck with diesel, about $130.00, and drive for a month or more. She spends about the same for gas every 2 wks, mainly because she stays in the streets for church or some other meeting. We don't eat very much but you can go into the store and not spend at lease $100. On the gas issue, it is your choice whether to go or not go. On the Valkyrie, I choose to go.

As we all know, gas, grocery, coffee prices... it's all Obama's fault! Ain't gonna play dat lay da blame game. It is what it is. I'm thinkin and i could be wrong here-maybe just maybe mickyds wanted a smidge more profit or they are trying to at a minimum cover costs. If it becomes a non profit orginazation they close their doors and i gots to find somewheres else ta gets my coffee!! I myself would just like the prices to settle out for awhile so i can adjust my finances a little better. RIDE SAFE.

I suspect in another 25 years when I retire or anybody 40 and under retire, there will be no social security period and not too many jobs nowadays even offer pension. So, I guess look on the bright side of things for once? Whom I really feel sorry for is the next generation growing up and how gloomy their future is. If our economy now has near 10% unemployment and 20+ years ago it was under 5% (roughly in general) and decent jobs were plentiful unlike now, can't imagine in the next 20 years how terrible it will become. Now that is not looking on the bright side of our children or grandkids future. I too, only in certain McD's, have noticed their dollar menu on a few items jumping also from normally a buck to 1.19 as well. I told the mgr. that is false advertising, well almost, since if you got a 1.19 item on the dollar menu, it should not be there at all. I am so anal that went into another McD's recently and got their chicken snack wrap for 1.49 shown on their board and looked at the receipt showed 1.54. I told the mgr. their as well to change their board or give me my nickle back. He agreed they will do that and change the board to the correct current price. Went back 1 month later and same price on board, 1.49 instead of 1.54. Told mgr. again and he didn't seem to give a F!

Yeah, I kinda noticed that too. I retired in 1991 and now my supplemental medical plan payments are taking 1/3 rd of my pension. The bad news is my company canceled my group insurance. The good news is that my retirement net income goes back up. Also the good news is I've signed for a Medicare Advantage Plan and the payments remain the same as my Medicare. The good news is that the administration is putting 8.3 billion tax dollars into the Advantage plans to make them look good until after the election. The bad news is that the GSA has told HHS to quit spending the 8.3 billion because it was appropriated without the approval of Congress. Also I've lived too long and my annuities are running out. I'm 84 and I don't have a clue as to what my future is. The Hell with it, i'm going riding.

As we all know, gas, grocery, coffee prices... it's all Obama's fault! Well, it is HIS administration that stated we need higher gas prices, in the range of Europes. And, it is HIS party that opposes just about everything that can be done within our power to control and reduce the price of drilling and refinement. Sorry, brother, but Obama is the leader of the gov't and his party. So, I ask again,.....who should take the responsibility? While he is STILL grumbling about his "inheritance", it was he who said that if things don't improve after 3 years in office, he doesn't deserve a second term. I think the rest of the country, judging by his approval numbers, is gonna take him at his word.

Most price increases can be directly related to fuel cost.. Fuel costs have doubled in the past year.. In 2007 Obama said he would bankrupt the coal companies[and has pretty much succeeded] and do everything he could to harass the oil and natural gas companies[ and has kept his word on that].. 45% of the oil leases on Fed lands have not been renewed by Obama and 40% additional regulations have been forced on them.. Drilling has increased but only because of an increase of drilling on private lands that Obama and his cronies have no control over, yet.. Do I blame our dependence on other countries for oil to Obama?? NO,, I believe that should have been resolved starting back in '73.. But, Obama and his admin is doing nothing positive about fossil fuel costs or production.. Fossil fuels will be with us for many more years and we need to do something..
