only thin I can think of is the govt would then be able to hire another 5000 govt employees to go out to the farms and make sure no kids were working.....cause they dang sure aint worried about the kids.

Obama's fault. Again. I'm getting a kick out of seeing you post this. Like it or not, Obama is the face of this administration. When something happens during his tenure, who should the responsibility fall on? We've heard about his "inheritance" for almost 3.5 years now. With only a half of a year left to his reign (hopefully), isn't it about time that he, his administration, his supporters, and the media finally accept responsibility. He's had about 1,200 days to "fix" everything he inherited. Instead, all of the things by which we have always used to demonstrate an administrations success have worsened since he took the oath. Yes, I've seen the long list of his "accomplishments" and signed bills, none of which means anything to the folks who are hurting.

Latest update is that common sense has prevailed for now. Yay Kansas =)
"The U.S. Department of Labor has withdrawn new regulations that would have prohibited children under the age of 18 from participating in much farm work. That report came late Thursday afternoon from the office of Congressman Tim Huelskamp (R-Kansas)"

This was instigated by the UN. Obama wants the US to come under their rules and our Constitution to become secondary to whatever cockameany decisions they come up with. Fortunately there was such an outcry that he rethought this decision by the light of votes he was about to lose. We absolutely cannot afford another 4 years when there will be no restraint at all.

I get it... if we can hang on just a little bit longer, in another 2 years Romney would have reversed all Obama's "creations." Romney is no light weight, he will bringing the USA back to prosperity and regain our nation's rightful place in the world. Meanwhile, the last mile seems the longest!

The best we can hope for is Romney to slow the descent into madness... I doubt he'll fix any of the problems Obama has introduced, but just hoping he'll slow the descent to buy us some time before it's too late and this nation is lost forever...

If Romney does become our next Pres., and if things don't improve, but get worse, he'll be on the same receiving line Obama is on right now. Action and outcome are what should be measured and evaluated, not intention. You can have all the good intention in the world, but if the country moves further in the wrong direction, it's your fault, not your predecessor.

Well... Romney promises to get rid of OBAMACARE and Planned Parenthood on his first week in office. That right there should save a ton of taxpayer's money! Around 1.8 trillion! The new, improved, cost of Obamacare. Almost a 100% increase from the original lie projection. http://news.yahoo.com/cbo-obamacare-price-tag-shifts-940-billion-1-163500655.htmlPaxton, your making this too easy. I understand you're trying out sarcasm, but at least try and make it harder to poke holes in.

G-Man; In spite of my "broader" political leanings, it does not mean that I ignore the numbers. One should give credit where credit is due. Frankly, none of us really know any of these men. I doubt that I'll ever meet either of them. I do question their direct impact (or lack thereof) on everyday American life. ??? Usually, the Mayor of your town gets more constituent heat than any other politician. So in the final analysis, paying close attention to the Prez candidates spending proposals makes for good independent judgment. After all, one does not have to vote down partisan lines. RIDE SAFE

Then, when they turn 18 they have no work ethics because they don't know what it's like to put some real work hours in.
I'm the youngest of 18 and I can tell you that in my house EVERYONE pulled their weight. If you could walk, you could work.
That is why I dedicate myself 200% to every job I've ever had (all 4 of them). Even as a career IT Guy, I've worked seasonal retail at Toys R Us and others because working is in my blood.
The fabric of everything that made this country great is slowly being torn to shreds. We'll be left with a society of leeches, feeding off the government if we let these damn socialists keep making ridiculous laws.

RIDE SAFE I didn't vote for Obama, I could not see voting for someone I 1) Didn't trust 2) Didn't believe a single word he said 3) Had WAY too much media behind him for some one who came out of nowhere 4) Was invovled in IL politics 5) Had no experience doing anything related to running the country 6) Couldn't stand to look at him or hear him talk, because I thought every word he spoke was a lie That said, IF he had delivered on half of the promises he made during his campaign, I would consider voting for him now. Unfortunately, he didn't deliver. I will hold him to his statement that if things didn't improve during his campaign he would be a one term pres. It has nothing to do with race, or any of the other reasons the Obama supporters THINK people like me to dislike him. Hell, I would vote for a ______(insert your minority of choice), transgendered, gay, athiest, commie, pinko, leftie liberal, IF I thought he would/could do the country and the citizens of this country right. I'm glad you are starting to see the light and realizing that it is not all George's fault and that Barry is at fault for his failure to deliver on his promisses. Talk is cheap. If the next guy doesn't deliver, I will try to vote him out as well, regardles of party affiliation.
