First I am working on a 97 Tourer that has sat for 7 years. They carbs were all clogged up.
It is at the dealer and it needed some parts that are on back order. No ETA is available.

I found a set of bolt on ready carbs for a 99. They come as a assembly including intakes.

will these bolt up and work with no modifications??

Any assistance would be appreciated

thanks

per the factory service manual all carbs are the same, this includes jets sizes and carb bore dia.
main jet size is were max HP would be different. manual states all yrs and models use the same MJ.
so any dreamed of HP difference of a '97 is not in the carbs. Remember Lamont, who did the first supercharged valkyrie posted his dyno HP #s of his stock '97, they were not what the mags posted.

I/S carbs would have a different part number due to different slide springs.

As far as I know, the only difference in these carburetors is springs and needles.. So the later models should fit and work just fine.. One question thou,, what parts would have to be replaced and why the backorder ?? These carburetors are so simple that parts really shouldn't need replacement except for a diaphragm or gasket/o-ring.. But, anything can happen I guess..

thank you all for your help. The dealer call today and they found the parts at another dealer and I should have it back next week.
Next time I do a carb job I will think the used route. Its going to cost me 600 plus to get them rebuilt with parts.
I could have bought a bolt on set for 400, and sold the old ones for?? 150 or so.
In the end I like the idea the are rebuilt
thanks again

I had to go through 3 sets.
18 carbs to get 6 that worked right.
There is almost zero to no parts for these things from Honda.
If a float goes bad you are in trouble.
The float valve is about the only replaceable part you can still get.
If the valve seat is bad you have a dead carb..........
Jets are available anywhere.
PinWall on Ebay is about the best place for used sets of carbs.
The last set I got came off a 2001 with onlly 20K on them.
They worked fine.
Just bolted them on and I was off and running.
I havent touched them yet........
