Took a ride (with two great guys I met from this board - SCain and F6BANGER) to see the 12th Annual Chuck Wagon Cook-off at Ute Lake next to Logan NM.

This is a picture of F6BANGER (Chuck) a truly nice guy! After we got back, he took time out of his Sunday to mount a new rear tire on my bike, saving me hundreds of dollars.

Another great report!!!!   cooldude

I recognized at least one of the chuckwagons in the pics.  My family owns a wagon-carriage company.  My dad quit competing some years ago because he had built too many wagons and he was starting to compete against himself in some areas!

We still cook for some events, seldom for competition.  It is wonderful seeing the kiddos learning and curious about the wagons and how to cook.

Dad is near retirement, and I should take the business over, just haven't resolved it yet in my mind.  It is fun at times, but a lot of work also.   Usually we make ice cream with our old hit-n-miss ice cream maker also.  It is a hit!!!

Glad you had a good time at the event!!!!!

Hey Mr. Arn (Chuck also),

I had a blast. It was really cool seeing how they did things back then. A real piece of history. The food was good too. I will say for Steve and myself, Thanks for the invite. And we had a tail wind both ways to boot. Cant wait til this weeks ride to Utah.  cooldude
