I did not know picking your nose was all that dangerous.
It will need stitches.

I had a finger like that (nearly severed). After the stitches and a day or two passed, it looked for all the world like they had dug up a dead guy and sewn his finger on me. Against all the odds and the Doc's predictions, it healed and is still with me. A word to the wise.... during the healing process, avoid using that hand to open doors. I can't tell you how many times I forgot how tender that finger was until I jammed it into the door reaching for the knob.

Experience speaking...that is far and away the best finger to injure.
That sucks though. My thoughts are with you for when the meds wear off. Is that like an antiseptic or something like that? The yellow area around the finger? Or is it the beginnings of a nasty bruise from bending it the wrong way or something?

I feel better always wearing full finger gloves after talking with you today and seeing those pictures Steve Glad you are floating along on the meds. Take em now when you need em and then when you dont quit like once upon a time you stopped. We are here for you if you need us
Need a new connector for my hit-air jacket Bought it after reading about Carls accident and after my get off as I ride some pretty dangerous roads in heavy truck traffic several times a week in the Bronx (95 and 87) and I just dont bounce like I used to, more like splat now
IF you come off the bike it inflates protecting your internal organs neck and pelvis in 1/4 second Also has full ce armor in a mesh jacket
Of course it dont work if I dont get a new lanyard the old one melted on the pipes cause I was a bonehead and forgot to tie it elsewhere

I feel your pain and know it quite well my friend I had one of those on my right hand too! Severed both extensor tendons for my thumb...that sucked. Experience speaking...that is far and away the best finger to injure.

The yellow stuff is an Iodine antiseptic. Keeps the creepy crawlers outta the open cut.

A little super glue and some baby aspirin and you'll be just fine.
Good luck on the recovery. Wish you well.

I saw the hand surgeon yesterday. He took a look and scheduled surgery for next Tuesday. He said a few things that I was clue less about. Bottom line was he has to cut around dig and pull and stitch. I asked if it was a general anestisha thing he said no, a MAC thing. Thanks for all the kind words. I do appreciate all the humor. BTW. When That pic was taken I had already had a shot of Morphine, Dilaudid, and they had just gave me Valium in the IV. OMG That Valium stuff was good! The other two, meeh, really didnt help much. The Valium, My eyes rolled up, a feeling of nice rolled over me and I told the lovely nurse how much loved her LOL
