i know it sounds corney, but that's a saying i use to say when i was a little kid (about 4)

but, here's some pictures i took of the lightning.

we got less then a 1/4 inch of rain, much much more in the south.  it was a nice light show.  took the oppertunity to try and make my son not so chicken chit of the stuff by having him outside with me taking pictures.

I grew up in Northeastern Oklahoma.  I used to sit outside and watch the lightening show during the storms.  Guess I was never afraid of lightening nor the following thurnder.

Since I left home, really haven't seen any good displays of lightening.

I love a good thunder and lightning show.  Don't get them much around here.

I moved from Anchorage to Kansas (almost 18 years ago.. holy cow where'd the time go?!?) and was immediately pleased to get beat in the face with some great storms.

If that sounds strange then you might be entertained to learn that Anchorage had about ONE day a year with thunder back then.  I think they're almost up to two now.

I always enjoyed the thunder and lightning.

Had a big brave Doberman, that would crap on the carpet everytime she heard thunder.     Finally built her a house in the back garage as mom did not like cleaning up poop of the rug and I didn't either.   Other than that she was one of my best Dob's produced.    I raised Dob's in California to supplement my income.   LOL.

She was afraid of it all her 13 years.    She died of a heart attack the vet said after one sever storm we had.   She went limp, I thought she had stopped breathing, so into the squad she went and we made a blue/red light trip to the vet.     She passed about 10 minutes upon arrival.     Last time I used that Vet.

I love thunder and lightning.  Nature's theatrics.  It's one of the better parts of living in Florida.   cooldude

But then again, I love heading out to the beach when a good tropical storm heads this way.  Apparently, so does this girl.......

Tropical storm Leepowered by Aeva

Caught her on my cell phone when we went out to the beach to check out tropical storm Lee rolling in.

I'm seeing a little square box with 3 colors in it right after "metal helmet for protection". Looks like a picture may be there. I right clicked on it and clicked show pic but nothing happened.?  ??? Undecided

I love huge, wrath of God, barn burner types of storms.  I wish I had the room to have an old beater truck so I could go out and chase them.  I don't think my insurance company would like me taking a good car into harm's way.
