Texas Hill Country

Just got back from 4 days in the Texas Hill Country. I just love it out there. Stayed in Bandera, ate Breakfast in Utopia, Rode the 3 sisters (awesome), and spent a day at Luckenbauch jamming with the hired guitar player.......he was a funny guy with all kinds of little jokes......till he had a heartattack......yep......we had been there about 4 hrs when suddenly the guy stood up and said he was headed to the hospital that he was having a heart attack. Someone loaded him up and headed out.....last I heard. Then on Wed we all took off different directions headed home and I decided to make it a long day.....headed out of Bandera at just before dark (going very slow due to deer) and went back to Leakey and rode one of the 3 sister roads and then headed to Kerrville, Fredricksburg, Llano, Lampassas, to Georgetown, to Lexington, to Giddings, to Brenham to Independence, to Navisota, to Anderson to Tomball . 506 mile day, not bad for all 2 lane roads and small towns. Really enjoyed the trip.

BLUEBONNETS are over . This was the first year in my entire riding career that I never made it out to the Brenham area to ride the Bluebonet trails. Just too busy this year. It's a shame. Had to settle for seeing them on the major hyways.
