I have looked everywhere around here, but haven't been able to find Penrose pickled eggs....I have tried almost every other brand but none taste as good as the Penrose brand....they are made by Con-agra....Ingles used to sell them around here, but I can no longer find them.....maybe they don't make them anymore??....I'd love to get a hold of one of the 36oz jars of them.....

Or even the small 5 egg sized jar.....

I knew how you feel... see my recent $100 salad dressing thread.

Sometimes, Amazon has hard to find foods on their site... but, by the looks of the Con-agra website, the eggs are discontinued...

Good luck...

They should be able to help.

I would think they would know where they are shipped and if it is a central distributor give you contact info for followup. But I would start with Con-Agra.

all your suggestions and see what I can come up with.....I'm pretty sure that there was NOT a big market for pickled eggs....I loved the Penrose ones and I don't even drink alcohol(it seems that they were available in bars according to my research)....

The last time I found them, I bought 2 of the 3 large 36oz jars(back in June of '08)...I should have bought the 3rd one and would have if I'd have known they weren't making them anymore....What I'm hoping is that there are some out there on some store shelves somewhere that haven't been sold yet...I always make it a point to check at every little store I stop at....they normally carried the small jars with 5 eggs in them....

I think I should have no other mortal wants, if I could always have plenty of music. It seems to infuse strength into my limbs and ideas into my brain. Life seems to go on without effort, when I am filled with music.

I make my own and they kick azz! Everyone leaves the house for the day when I'm cookin up the dill, beets, vinegar and other odiforous (sp) ingredients!
In about a week, when the pink from the beets dye the hard-boiled eggs all the way to the yolk, they're ready to go! cooldude
Oh yeah! a few years ago I had a batch in the garage fridge and forgot about them for a few months. When I opened (very carefully), the container, they were shrunk down to the size of golf balls with about the same consistency! Shocked
