All,

 If any one can help....

Have an issue with a Vulcan 800...... wont idle once you close the enricher..... won't idle..

Bike has sat for a while , but has been started and run about every other month prior to sitting over the winter 4 4 months...

If it is the slow jets... will some Seafoam help even though the jets are clogged and fuel wont go through.. it will only keep running if you keep the enricher pulled out or keep the revs up

Has new gas, but I don't want to waste a can of Seafoam if Im just going to have to pull the carb any way...

Opinions? Thoughts?

Starting every other month is a long time with todays gasoline. The 4 months is probably a guarantee there is varnish in the gas system. Only one carb would make me do the carb.

Personally, after what I have seen so far, Id just do the carb and get it over with. You'll certainly save time and maybe money. Chems may or may not work. Two cans of sea foam, two cans of techron in the tank and over 200 miles of slow riding helped but didnt cure it. V-twin or Valk...doesnt matter...a dirty carb is a dirty carb
Might also wanna check the tank for rust and the filter if you have one.
