AS I posted earlier, high winds, heavy rain, snow and even hail going over. However, what a difference 3 days makes.

This was the arrival ...yes that's hail on the seat.

This is on the way home. Small town on Hwy 2 headed east

I'm getting closer to the high country.

Stopped here for a bite to eat.

Next door had a bad month.

The obligatory food shot. Had Brunch, egg scramble, with spinach, ground beef, cheese, mushrooms, home fries, and english muffin. Was quite good, the place was exceptionally clean. The town is Skykomish on the west side of Stevens Pass.

Yepper, there's still a bit of snow along the way. This was almost to the summitt.

Lots of wild river to see, I flew past too many places with raging rapids and spectacular views. Did finally stop and take these.

Now one of the local tourist traps. The town of Leavenworth, entire town is decked out like a bavarian town straight from Germany, Great food, lots of cheesy gift shops, not to mention lots of tourists buying that stuff.

From Leavenworth, I'm headed into Wenatchee Valley, with lots and lots of orchards.

Then out of the valley, up into the dry parts of Washington. This particular area has a large fenced in resort right on the columbia river. Was stopped in some 5 mph traffic for over an hour, so took time to get this pic. Unfortunately, that much time spent crawling on the road, I didn't feel the NEED to get down to the resort for pics.

A little over 50 miles from there I was home. Took my time and enjoyed the ride, even though a week day, there were lots of bikes out, temps were in the high 60's for most of the ride. ALL in ALL, a great day.

NICE ride report, glad it was a better ride home.

Always good to read these, and see how different the landscape is across our great country-

Whatever it is, it's better in the wind.

On a road less traveled.

If you are riding  and it is a must that you keep your eyes on the road, you are riding too fast.

I know how it is.I left for prescott Az. a week and a half ago from s.Or and had a tail wind thru the Ca. and Az. desert then on to socal where it was cloudy ,cold and wet .two days later the sun came out.Four days later I headed for Bullhead city,Az. and the weather was good but on the way home I fought the wind for 600 miles.I covered 2800 miles in eleven days in three states.I'm bushed and glad to be home.I wanted to visit friends and my son, sister and be in Az. for my Moms 90th birthday.
