Double check your battery with a load on it. Might have a bad ground. Starter relay could be bad.  Sad

jump the start solenoid with acouple of old screwdrivers... there will be some sparking maybe - if the starter and ground s all good.  It could be that the control side of the solenoid is good but the contact disc is shot, if that is the case you can sometimes take them apart and repair the contacts inside.

Sounds like the output side of the solenoid is burned up.

It has been a long time since I worked on a Yammer hammer, but I kind of recall a round disc that is supposed to put the juice to the starter, when ya push the button.

But like I said, its been a long time and my rememberer is kind of short anymore.

Go back to basics and do not shortcut. Disconnect the battery and C L E A N  the terminals. Leave the battery un-hooked and un-hook and clean each and every terminal and reassemble with silicone diaelectric. If you jumped the battery and no-go, it is more than likely a connection problem. You can do a dirrect jump to the starter (be careful) before you remove . If it spins, more likely it's back to wiring.
