Does anyone know if the oem brackets are still in place and its just simply taking the boards off and bolting the driver pegs to the brackets?  I'm looking to buy an Interstate that has this set up so I don't have the bike to look at yet.

Thanks for your help.

There should be either the stock pin or a bolt and nut securing the floorboards to the stock peg mount.  Along with the peg you're going to need the spring that pushes the peg down if it gets pushed up.

The spring is a PITA to install.
Leave it of, as gravity will cause the peg to return to it's "normal" position.

Thanks for the hint on the spring install.

The more I think about it my '98 Standard, that I regret selling, didn't have the springs either and gravity did the trick   Smiley

I've never had a problem putting the springs back in.

Now if I could just find a set of oem driver pegs, springs, etc. for sale.

If anyone has some available for a reasonable price please let me know.

Thanks again.

I just removed mine last week.
Marty is correct, the floorboards are held onto the brackets by a bolt and a nut. The footpegs are held onto the same brackets using a pin and a cotter pin. I've never had a problem with the spring either. Line up the spring and insert a small screwdriver or scribe from the bottom to hold it in place, then slide the pin in place from the top, pushing out your tool of choice at the bottom. Cotter pin in place and your good to go.
LinnB, If you buy that bike keep those boards, polish the lower part which is aluminum. They will bring over $200.00 in good condition.

Thanks for the advice on the boards and their value.

I'm picking up the bike on Friday and will have 475 miles to try them out  Smiley
