There is a man who will truly be missed by the auto racing community. His styling ideas and mechanical abilities were second to none.

     RIP Carroll.

RIP MR Shelby.

I met this gentleman several years ago when I worked part time for a Ford Dealership.  This dealership sold a lot of Shelby Cobra's, and he came by to honor the dealer for his effort.

Very nice guy.....

Really sad.
The guy brought some pride to American auto racing, and pissed off Enzo Ferrari using simple ingenuity.
A true American hero has left us.

I think the Shelby Cobra Mustangs are some of the most beautiful muscle cars ever made.

The guy change the face of racing forever.

Thanks man!

I use to race a '65 Sumbeam Tiger which was a car Shelby helped develop. My dream machine was a 289 Cobra but never owned. All great things must pass. I knew this day would come. His presence will be missed.

I KNEW there was a reason I liked you! Cool That 289 was mine, also! Always thought the 427 was a bad weight ratio, overkill and all that.
