I have a new Clearview shield that should arrive this week (finally!).  For those of you that have replaced the stock windshield, were you able to reuse the gaskets that fit between the mounting hardware and the shield, or did you need to buy new ones?  After waiting a couple of months for the shield, it dawned on me that I may have a problem with the gaskets.

Thanx for any advice.

I have a 97, I've taken the shield all apart a whole bunch of times... I always am careful with the
gaskets, and have never had a problem.

Clearview rocks... I have one that is shorter than OEM, and I've ridden in a lot of rain lately,
it sure is nice being able to see over the shield!

I rode with my new Clearview to work once with the cover still on - they suggest that (if you can
see over it of course  Grin) and will let you send it back if you don't like it...

Good to hear that you guys have been able to reuse the gaskets.  I guess I was thinking they might be ooey-gooey like cylinder head gaskets.  uglystupid2 The shield I'm getting is 2" shorter than stock with a vent.  It may be the Northeast up here, but I bought a Scorpion EXO1000 last year and it'll be nice to actually make use of all those vents by getting a little airflow over the top of the shield and some through the vent when the weather is warm.
