We have ( 2 ) location's to hook-up in route for the ride. Location # 1 is Motel 6 at 402 Lovell Rd. Knoxville , Tennessee. You will need reservations for Thursday evening June 11 . We plan to roll out early friday morning June 12 ( 7:00 a.m . local time ) in order to hook-up with Highbinder's group in Wytheville,Virginia.
Hook-up in route location # 2 will be the TA Truck Stop in Wytheville Virginia its at " The Cross Roads Of America " at exit 72 off I-81 and exit 41 off I-77 we will hook-up here at ( 12:00 noon  local time ) Friday morning June 12. The Days Inn motel at 150 Malin Dr. Wytheville , Virginia is the Thursday evening June 11 motel for folks needing a place to stay .

I am so fired up!  I have been saying that I was hopeful, but didn't know if I'd be able to make this ride.  Consequently, I had not made a hotel reservation since the cancellation date was so far ahead of the ride, and didn't want to get stuck with a bill.  Well, things are looking really good for this ride, so I just made my reservation.  And even though it is so late, and even though the base hotel (Sleep-Inn) was booked, I was able to get a room!!!!!  I got a 2-queen non-smoker at the Sleep-Inn.  I'm so excited!!! I can't wait!!!!! I'm hoping  a buddy of mine will be able to make the ride with me to split the room.  But at this point, I'm so happy, I don't even care.

Just for anyone's info, according to their website, they have several single king bed rooms still available.  But I think I got the last double queen.

Hey Joe, I saw that you are still showing 10:30am time for Wytheville.  Highbinder had said that the group was pulling out of Wytheville at 12:00 Noon.  I'm riding down Friday morning from southwest PA, so I'm hoping the noon pull-out time is still valid.  Could you please confirm???

Definitely!!!  I was planning to leave about 5:00-5:30am for the trip to Wytheville.  That way I'd get there sometime between 10 and 11 for enough time for a rest and breakfast/lunch before pulling out for Gettysburg.  Maybe we could set up a place to meet along I79 or I70.  I saw you were from Indiana, so I don't know which way you would be heading south.  I live over towards Eighty-Four, so that's pretty far out of your way, I'm sure.  I also saw there is a guy (Hozz) from Finleyville signed up.  That's right in my back yard.  And PAVALKER is also pretty local, but I don't know if those guys were going to Wytheville or going straight to Gettysburg.  Maybe I should start a new thread to see who from Pittsburgh area is riding down to Wytheville and maybe set up a meeting place, once we see who is going down that day.

Thats the way I've been looking at it also Dino . Friday is the main event with " The Ride " and Gettysburg is just where we are going....Its the ride , not the destination and there is no out of the way when ridin' .
