Today is the tomorrow you worried about yesterday.

Hi All,

I am wanting to add two or more power outlets for heated clothing for my Gal and me.

Currently I have one SAE dongle. I'd like a different solution than a hanging wire (which is fine for me but not the Gal).

I see that BMW has it's own standard. What do the Wing riders out there use?
As well I am looking for good mount locations.

As you can see I have the Corbin Side Panels.

Best regards,

Glenn

I hooked the backseat heated clothing power cord to my aux fuse panel and ran it up between the seats.

Hey Glen
I have a gerbings set up on my bike with two rheostats that are mounted in a chrome plate that is on the left side around my fuel control.  However the two wires for the jackets are just hanging... I do tuck them under the seat when not in use.  I also did not like the set up and I just ordered two panel mount adapters from Gerbings.  I just got them in the mail this week and have not installed yet... I need to find a location for them but once installed they will give me a permanent "socket" to plug my jacket into.  here is a link from the Gerbings site

Good luck

Cool, thanks for the link.

What did you go with? The BMW or Coax option?

I'd be concerned with the Coax option not having the current capacity needed for a full suit.

I like the look of the mounted plugs.

Cheers,

Glenn

Marty,

What style connector are you using?

My passenger uses the Gerbing coax.  For me I use the Battery Tender SAE plug with an adapter between it and the Gerbings coax on the controller.  I found the adapter on ebay.

I use the coax, and have had gloves, jacket, pants, and boot liners all on at once, with no problem.
