My left mirror won't stay adjusted. I know there is a screw behind the mirror glass, but how else can you tighten the adjustment swivel, short of removing the glass?  Anybody have any tricks?  Every really hard bump the mirror drops down out of adjustment.  Thanks

Tricky, about the only thing I can think of without risking damage is to use some Loctite 209.
Will mean it will be hard to reposition at a later date if needed.
209 is a "wick in" product used to lock threads "after" assembly so it may work on a mirror.

The best thing you can do is change the angle of the stem so the mirror is at full stop when its at the desired adjustment.  You can kinda force the limits a tad and it will be as tight as its gonna be.....I made a loose one live on for a couple years by doing that

Put some dental floss around it where it moves and tighten real tight. The waxed kind.

Getting old, that should have been Loctite 290 not 209.

I've had good results in the past with rotating the mirror clockwise will gently pulling it toward me.  I don't know if or why that should work, but it has for me.
