Well,

Thanks to Hayhauler and BJ for going and test driving a minivan for us.  We are planning on coming down this weekend to pick this up.  Not sure if we are riding the bike down or not but maybe we can get some folks together for a dinner or lunch or something.  Just wanted to make some rumbles and hope to catch up with some of you while we are there.

I will post more as the days draw nearer....

What a great extended family we have in the VRCC, Jimmy you and BJ are wonderful and for you to take time out on mother's day to do such a thing, words can't say how blessed we are for the two of you.  See you soon.

Joe and Teryl.

I might be in town, bringing my mom back to Katy sometime on Saturday.  Thought about trying to make it in on Thursday for your meeting, but can't do both.  I'll probably borrow a neighbors van to bring a sofa I had at Pat's house to my mom's house because I have no room for it inline.  And that task may be easier to do on Saturday versus Thursday. I'd love to see all my vrcc family, could use a few hugs too!

Leave him alone TP.  The van was the best one available in a 5 state area....   You're just jealous that either you aren't here too, or he isn't coming to see y'all..  Smiley

I hope I get to see them.  I am moving "the girlfriend" from Nacogdoches to Houston on Saturday.  Maybe for dinner Friday or late Saturday.

Hey Jimmy!

Thanks for selling that van for me.  Man, it was really getting expensive to keep replacing those tires that kept wearing out due to the bent frame and all.  And after that last head gasket blew, well, we just had to get rid of it.

Woo Hoo can't wait!!!!!
Joe and Teryl are planning to stay here!!!!!
Don't know for sure what time they will be in Friday, but thought we might run down to La Casita Mexican Resturant...  It's just a 1/2 mile west of here down the county road across the street.

We were thinking of a BYOM party for Saturday evening...(time dependent on Joe's schedule, but thinking around 6pm)..  That is a 'Bring Your Own Meat'
We will fire up the pit and grill, supply baked potatoes and salad..... and you bring whatever meat you want to cook!!!!  Steak, fish, chicken,  burger, franks, whatever you want to hang over a fire and cook...... bring it with ya!

If ya haven't been to a BYOM.... it's fun .... everyone gets to cook their own stuff...JUST THE WAY THEY LIKE IT!!!!!
Lots of good fun and conversation around the pits!!!!!

Alright it is 6am and we are hitting the road.  Great choice of words since i did manage to hit a deer while driving back from Joplin,Mo last night.  I got off work yesterday morning to run down to a school that I put an irrigation system in and to figure out why a booster pump wasn't kicking on with the system to driving home last night and seeing a big Ol' Doe standing in my lane.  I slammed on the breaks slid the car to the left and in mid skid nailed the deer with my car door.  Ripping off my passenger mirror and denting up the left side of the car.  No worries still going to drive it to Houston!!  My sister bought this car new and in the past 8 months has hit a deer on the left side and now on the right.  But she still keeps running Cheesy

Well Teryl is rushing around upstairs I better get off of here and help her pack.  Looking forward to seeing everyone.

Joe.

Teryl and I had a wonderful time down in Houston this past weekend.  We picked up the van and enjoyed some fine fixn's.   HG and FB are amazing folks Teryl (stud finder) was blown away by the Texas memebers.

Thanks to those who showed up saturday night, some we met for the first time and others it was long over due to catch up.  We left sunday morning and drove all the way to El Dorado, Ks and that is when Teryl pooped out driving and we crashed at WDValks place and now I am resting to go to work tonight.

Anytime any of you Texans are up in Kansas ya'll better tell us!!!

See you guys soon...
