I have no U-Joint failer at this time but with 75 K and my Jackrabbit starts I figure it is just a matter of Time.
Called HDL in Ohio last Thrusday and the Online price was showing 64.95 and the Rep that I talked to said that his books show a price of 174.00  ???   He said until the price difference was figured out that he was unable to sell me the U-Joint.

I then called the HDL in Florida and asked if they had any on hand, the reply was 15 on hand for a price of 64.95.

Part was on my porch this evening for $71.89

I can not be certain but It sounded like the price of the U-Joints might being on the increase..
Or the rep had no Ideaof what the Heck he was talking about.  With new u-joint in hand I feel much more at ease.

I got the same info when I tried to order from Service Honda first(didn't do it finally), then called HDL and they said the same thing. I told HDL the price on their website was something like $64, so they told me to call the Online Store....which I did. The guy I talked to knew about the price differential but told me if I ordered one ONLINE right now I could get it for the $64 price. I ordered two just in case, we'll see how I'm charged when they arrive.

Sounds to me like there is some confusion regarding their pricing.

HWen I ordered for the price of $64 I did not even ask about the price diff once he told me it would cost $64 I just ordered hoping the pricing would not change.. And it did not.
Ujoint is safe and sound and paid for sitting in my garage.

After I got the price I stopped by the local bike shop. They sell Honda's and Yamaha's. I always offer them (long time friends) a chance to come close to the price I have and usually they get my business with the shipping we pay. He said I can't come close Honda wants $142 and our price is $95.

This is bad. I just went online for HDL in Florida and the u-joint was "my priced" at $132.45.

If anybody knows where I can find one in the 60-70 dollar range, I sure could use the link.

Guess I waited too long. The links here now show the price increases too. Thought I had one from ServiceHonda.com but they send me another invoice today showing the increase and wanting my approval. Glad I don't need one right now.

Seems like having a spare might be an unnecessary luxury.

try telling that to the guys and gals around here that had bikes sitting for months or more due to no yokes being available. not to mention the many goldwings that were in the same condition.

It seems as though they may be price gouging.
For years the price was low and now that we are buying them for what ever reason the noticed that they could increase the price and get away with it.   tickedoff tickedoff

Don't look now, but front rotors just went up to $147.63.  They used to be $120.88.  tickedoff
