You got to be kidding!!!! It proves there are brain dead people in the world. It was up to $499 with 8 bids, the cover are die cast.  Maybe if it was billet alum. I might understand somewhat. But die cast you could make one in your backyard and have it spray chromed. May be worth $100 on the high end.

They're billet, they're practically unobtainable, and they're awesome...

Look at the Ebay add and go to the inside pic.and enlarge it and I don't see machine marks. It looks to clean like die-cast, but I may be wrong.

I must protest  Wink...

I have a set.

The article I posted a link to shows how Cobra mills these very radiator covers from billets of aluminum.

They're not cast. They're milled from billets of aluminum. And they're awesome.

I do not know how they were manufactured, but they are now rare as hens' teeth.  I might be tempted to buy if I knew that I could score the matching Cobra rear fender rails.

I bought the Cobra rear brake reservoir cover for $20 back in 2008.  Last one I saw on ebay went for over $120.

Kinda like a HardKrome exhaust or anything else that is relatively rare and no longer made.  It is worth exactly the amount that someone is willing to pay someone who is willing to sell.

I got my Cobra rear brake cover on eBay for $30, included a OEM rear brake master cylinder cover...
Got the radiator side covers for $130 from a cut-out bin in a rural Honda shop.... it was like
a sickness after that, I paid Big Mike dearly for a set of the Cobra rear fender rails  and
a Cobra light bar Roll Eyes ...

PayPal has since cut me off... there's a "sending limit" beyond which they require that you
"link your bank account" to them, or get one of their credit cards. It will be a cold day in
heck before that happens, so I just have to watch stuff go by now. Sometimes eBay sellers
will let me buy stuff with a Postal Money Order, usually they just say "no"... I had to watch a
set of Cobra cam-end covers disappear for cheap not long ago... there's an apparently
mis-labeled  new Cobra lightbar on there right now that's only up to about $150 with just
seven hours to go, but the guy won't let me bid on it without paypal...

The new in-pack Cobra light bar went for $202... hope someone here got it...

While I was looking for it on the "completed listings", I saw another one from
Big Mike that got no bids ??? Oh well... once I was the high bidder on
the first set of Cobra rear fender rails I tried to buy, and I didn't reach the reserve...
