I want to pump up the volume and I'm looking for an amp to pump up my stereo.

I've got a Woody fairing and have a Sony DSX-S100 stereo mounted in it.  The faring has the stock speakers installed in it that Glenn provides in the Woody.

I'm pretty sure that I'm going to replace those speakers with four Polk speakers, but I don't have a clue as to an amp.  Looking for something small and light that can install in the fairing.

Any suggestions?

WOW! 800 watt.

What model # is that, I can't find it anywhere even the manufacturers website. I would love to upgrade (again) 2funny

EDIT: Is this the one with the MP# input connection? They seem to sell that one all over but mostly with a set of 4" speaker setup.

I put a 300 watt rockford fosgate punch in my fairing. I got the 4 channel so when i put the tour pack back on it will power the rear speakers also. Great little amp. Its small and fits just about anywhere you want it to. It has a switch to go from 2 channel to 4.

This may be all you need and for $25.00, you can't go wrong.

With a Woodys fairing and four speakers, space may be at a premium.

Pyle PLMRMP3A 4-Channel Waterproof MP3/iPod Marine Power Amplifier
•Dimensions: 6.10''Lx3.35''Wx1.38''H Accessories:

I justistalled one of these with 4 pyle 5" speakers. I am happy with the result. There is not alot of bass availiable with 5" speakers and the amp does not put out a ton but the setup is just about as I expected.

Speakers 39.95 per pair and rear harness 14.95 from Electrical Connection-800.215.6168
Amp 49.95 from Amazon

A fears ago I had a 98 standard that I took some rockford fosgate speakers and made custom speaker enclosures for to mount directly to the windshield bracket. I then mountped a small amp inside one of the leather saddlebags which hhad a hard mount surface. Took very little room inside the saddlebag. For this application,I just ran a standard 1/8th " headphone jack to 1/4" RCAs cable.Had a toggle switch under the tank to turn on the amp and a mp3 player could be hooked right up. Just thought that you might consider the bag area for the amp placement.
So I've ordered a Woody's, are you saying that you're not satisfied with the sound quality/ vol?I've been an audio enthusiast for years. MY first street bike was an 81 Silverwing Interstate at age of 16. I had a Kenwood "tape deck" unit in that where I installed 2 extra 4x6 speakers in the lower part of the fairing. Pretty cool at the time.Like '85 riding around blasting out AC/DC,VanHalen and such. You'd hear the music before ever hearing the bike. uglystupid2
