Hey Valkers

Long time no see, folks.  How is everyone?  I still have my Valk, I still ride, but don't get on here much anymore!

I posted a similar link a couple of years ago and I hope it's OK to do it again.   My wife is running a half marathon with Team in Training, the Nike Women's Marathon in San Francisco, and she is raising funds for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.  I am serving as team captain this season, helping both new and seasoned runners train and fundraise.  LLS funds cancer research and helps with patient services.  Attached is a link where you can make a tax-deductible donation online.  Any donation, large or small, is appreciated.  My wife and I believe strongly in this cause, as we have both lost family, co-workers, and friends to various forms of cancer.  You can rest assured that a full 76% of funds received for this cause goes directly to the charity.  That's a very good ratio.

Whether or not you are able to make a donation, please pass on a word of encouragement on this thread.  We train three to four times a week and it's hard on these old bodies!

Thanks again folks, and ride safe!

Bladedog, lest you see a response less than you'd expect with this group, you need to know that Oss, on behalf of his daughter, posted a similar message for that same cause a while back and several of our members have contributed there.

It's a good cause.

I wish you the best of luck as the cause is a good one

Are you both running, I know you are a team captain and thought they can run also but also have to have a certain amount of donations?

Unfortunately I am tapped out due to my decision to match donations from the VRCC.

They put me in the poorhouse this month.

Thanks to Gig, whose check arrived today.

You can find the 2nd of my threads here
