Yes ...got it back ...pictures and details to follow.

But first a question. Didn't I see a post on here many years ago about perhaps having to file off some of a particular brand/type of levers to make them work right?

With my new wide kury levers ...I could swear I hear a lot of clutch noise ...and it seems a bit harder to shift? At least at first.

Mind you ...the bike sat unstarted for 7 weeks ..and by the time I road home 30 miles ...most the noise was gone ...and shifting was again pretty much normal.

Thoughts?

Tim, if you get the levers made for the 1800 wing you have go cut a tab off.....I actually like them wing levers better than the ones made for the Valkyrie, but you should be ok, if that tab is there and not cut off you cannot put the clutch lever on

I recall something like that. But I think, was about the Goldwing adjustable levers that need a tab cut off. I have Kurry levers for the Valk and they needed no work for them to fit.  cooldude

I'll ride it some more today and check back. They do fit, though they appear to be shorter than my previous Honda levers. The noise and shifting really did get better the more I road it yesterday. It was also popping and sputtering a bit at first ...but that also went away

Don't know about the Kuryakyn levers, but as Chris said the Goldwing levers need a tab removed, but are adjustable and work great.
Catch up to you soon, we just spent two weeks in the cool here in Hillsville Va.  Heading back home to sunny Fl. tomorrow.

Yes, I remember filing down the actuator 'bump' on the Kuryakyn Valkyrie brake lever.  It was too high and was partially activating the master cylinder.  not a big deal.  I would think that the same thing could happen with the clutch lever.

My clutch lever seems to have a lot up and down play, but it seems to work fine.

Your clutch need to bleed it. It does that way when bike sit a while then first use it is diffcult to shifting until after while it goes away so you will need to do the brake fluid and bleed em until clean.

good info on ALL these posts. update....it got better as i rode it this weekend. then, i went by Honda shop Saturday. they said they see this in about every third set of the levers they sell. they came outside...had me fire up the bike...and said pull in the clutch. i did...and the noise (though NOT as bad as when i first picked it up)...was there...though subtle. They said try shifting out of neutral. It was somewhat difficult. then, they said "let out the clutch JUST A LITTLE....until ...BINGO..the noise goes away". now shift. it shifted effortlessly.

so it would seem that when pulled ALL the way in, the pin that goes in and engages the clutch is going too far in? at any rate, it got better over the weekend with use. I'll keep an eye on it. Several emailed me and said they took a drill bit and JUST BARELY drilled the hole in the lever where the pin meets...so that it doesn't push it in QUITE as far...if this all makes sense.

for now, i'll keep an eye on it....might bleed the clutch as Big BF suggests. all i know is it was VERY loud and VERY hard to shift when i picked it up....having sat 7 + weeks...and with the new lever. Now, it's not so loud...and not so hard to shift.

I'll upload some pics...only have em' in the garage. i had to spend about 4 hours detaling the bike this weekend...as it had all sorts of crap on it from sitting in the shop all that time. Weather "experts" say rain today....i didn't want to "undo" all that polishing  Cheesy
