buy a set of front turn signals and ether paint the lenses red or get red bulbs this will give you the 2 filiments that you need to make them run and turn, or if you have a sorce for red lenses that will fit the 97 lights please let me know

In the early 2 screw lens signals you can replace te light socket with a double filiment one using JB weld or use a set of fronts on the rear. If you replace, you will have to solder an extra ground wire to the socket. Using a trailer converter, you can make them into stop/turn/running lights. You can get the cheap Blazer brand red marker lights at almost any auto parts store for a couple of bucks. The lens just pops off and on on these, pop off the lens, rout out all of the base including the light socket out to the rim that the lens mounts on leaving a tab on each side to mount to the 2 screw fixture with shorter screws, then just pop the lens back on. Easy and cheap.

buying two fronts and installing them on the rear is a good way to go. Get your running light power from the license plate light. Ground wires are the same as what you took off. clear lenses with two screws are easy to find- a good way to get red (from a tip here or another forum, not my original idea) is to paint them with Testors transparent Candy Apple Red from a hobby store. I did this about 3 weeks ago and the results are exactly what you are looking for. I went with 4 light coats of paint, letting it dry well between coats, and it matches the stock rear light. This will give you extra running lights with turn signals. It will not give you extra brake lights. If you want run/turn/brake you will need a modulator such as the one from Kurykyn and you will not need to go through the hassle of changing lights, only lenses. I added an LED mounted on the back of the sissy bar to get additional brake light, higher, and very visible from the rear.

franco...... The Electrical Connection kit usually runs about $49.95 or so. I think that's what I paid for it if I remember correctly. There are other options for adding lights to rear of the Valk too. These people have lots and lots of cool ideas for adding lighting to your bike....as well as your other toys too. http://www.customdynamics.com/motorcycle_lights.htm

you CAN actually paint the inside of those amber lenses with the candy red.....they will be red when you are through, then you won't have to buy new ones. I sprayed 3 light coats. The Kury kit gives you the brake light, and option to flash the brake 4 times, then steady on.
