Has anyone used the EDsets brand - microphone/isolator cable signal splitter - on the Valk I/S communication system? Wondering if it will work and how well? Any thoughts?

I just installed one last week to go along with my new Zumo 665. My phone will bluetooth to the GPS and theoretically allow me to take calls while riding. I am on call for work 24/7 and must be able to know when I am getting calls.

I have not had to use it yet, I didn't have time to test it. Will here tonight and let you know.

Standby...

That would be great, as I also have the Zumo 665. Would also like to know how the install went? (anything that I should be aware of ?)
Did you correspond with Ed before you purchased it?

Thanks

Used to have one on the I/S with a Garmin 2820.  It worked well.  Of important note: the GLxxxx models are for Goldwings.  Honda changed things up, and the wires in the GL1800 Wing/Valkyrie I/S are backwards from the old GL1500 Wing.  Order the GL1800 unit for plug-n-play operation on the Valkyrie.  You can also swap the wires around in the GL1500 unit, but that's a unnecessary hassle.

Sorry it took so long... forgot all about it.

I tried it out yesterday in the garage, worked perfect. I was loud and clear from the headset to the cordless phone out in the driveway.

Mind you, not tested yet while riding at speed, so not too sure of the sound quality while on the move. I will test that out en route to the Hillbilly Ride this weekend.

Standby.... again...

p.s. Others are correct that you want the one for the GL1800

I ordered one today.
I have the Zumo 550 and an iPhone4.

Now I am looking for a device that can take the 5pin DIN plug and covert it to Bluetooth.
