Hello gentlemen. Just order a battery from Powersport superstore through Amazon and it came without the acid in or with it. I email them and they told me that i have to buy the acid separate. I have never heard this before, is this bogus or common. thanks.

Probably in the shipping regs that acid is considered hazardous and would probably cost more than the battery to ship but they should have made you aware of this.

Go down to your local battery store. They usually have acid in bulk to fill new batteries. How much ????

My yuasa came with acid in a neat 6 in one bottle container that filled all the cells at once. The add said it was shipped with out acid. I was pleasantly surprised to find out otherwise.
Isn't THAT special!

Me too. From Amazon with a cool container/ filler full of acid. Just turn it upside down and it auto fills the battery with acid.

To ship the battery dry, and you have to add the acid is kind of normal, you don't want it any other way.
But to get one without supplied acid, now that is crazy. Return it. If they don't take it back, like mentioned already, take it to a local shop and have them add the acid.
I would go for a AGM battery first, and motobat specificly (my ACE T battery delivered for $90).

I would say a lot depends upon the price you paid for the battery! ***

No acid in my battery. Picked up a gel battery from Advanced Auto Parts a few months back. No issues.

Pay close attention to the item description in the Ebay listing. If they don't specificly say sold without acid you can open a case with Ebay that the item recieved was not "as described". I would communicate with the seller using the Ebay messaging system before making a complaint. Ebay will insist that you contact the seller re. your complaint anyway. Good luck

I'm guessing TDG... maybe they have no one certified to fill out the shipping docs that would be needed.
