Sing it, you know the words.

Tommy James & the Shondells-Crimson and Cloverpowered by Aeva

Joan Jett and the Blackhearts - Crimson & Cloverpowered by Aeva

I couldn't get the song out of my head all day after driving throught the fields of crimson clover on the way to Astoria.  Gotta say the Joan Jett version was dominant on the scratchy stretches of the Clatskanie highway.

20% chance of rain at the coast apparently means it's a sure thing.  Too socked in for any good pics from the Astoria column, maybe next time.

Maybe it is just because I am more familiar with the Tommy James version, but to me , it was a much better version. Always enjoyed laying around the lake shore with my lady and listening to that song.

Looks like you caught some great weather, nice sunset pic.  Was your trip fairly recent?  It looks like the column had undergone its paint upgrade in your pic.  Had hoped to get a new sig panorama from the top but the stairs are under construction for another few weeks.

I prefer the Tommy James one also, prolly cuz I wore the 8 track out in high school.

We rode through Oregon on our 2-month trip in 2003. It's a beautiful state, and the drivers seemed to watch out for us better than most states. We loved the diversity of the geography. We did stay off of the interstates. At some point, I will post a daily series of pics showing each day of the trip and telling what happened. Here are a couple of favorites.

Well, Tommy James it the sentimental favorite, bringing back childhood memories, but Joan Jett really rocks it!  cooldude

Joan gets my vote!

Both are good, but after watching the different ways they present the song, I think one accessory I'm missing, is Joan on the pillion, singing to me  Roll Eyes

She rocks it  cooldude

Joan does justice to Crimson and Clover, no doubt about it, but gotta give props to Tommy James and the Shondells.  Can't beat the original.

I can't help about the shape I'm in
I can't sing, I ain't pretty and my legs are thin
But don't ask me what I think of you
I might not give the answer that you want me to
