I have posted on the board that I need a rear wheel for my '97 Tourer.  I have had a couple of responses, Thank You, but if I remember right, there are differences between the Standard/Tourer and the Interstate rear wheel sizes.  The Honda part numbers are way different but that might not mean much.   Cheesy

I also seem to remember that the '97 has some other differences.  Could anyone out there help me out on this?

Thanks!

If the rekamemberer be working it is the brake rotor offset on the wheels that are different. Try entering rotor offset into the search feature on the tech board. If that ain't it someone is bound to chime in. cooldude RIDE SAFE.

97-99 Standard/Tourer wheels are the same.  With the introduction of the Interstate in 99, the mounting area of the rear rotor was thickened which required a reduction in the mounting flange of the wheel.  In addition, starting in 2K, I/S wheels were polished and clear powder coated.  You can use any rear wheel but you need to make sure the rotor is for that wheel or you'll have problems with rotor caliper fit.  In the area around the bearing on the rotor side of the wheel is cast 1J for the 97-99 wheels and 2J for the later style.

I just replaced my rear wheel on my 98 tourer with a 03 wheel. you must use the rotor that comes with the wheel I think 1999 to 2003 or I think you can shim the caliper if you use the old rotor i'm not real sure but i'm
sure someone here knows. I used the rotor that came with the 03 wheel and and had no problems.
Hope this helps. I have a rear wheel but it is ratty it will need a lot of work but it is cheap.

If you are referring to the rim, it has already all been said above. If you are referring to the tire, then there is only one stock size for all 3 models of the Valk.
