Rolled up the garage door about 0610 yesterday morning and the green and silver beast was champing at the bit. She thought i was taking too long to gear up!! crazy2 It was 52 degrees F and the chaps were needed for at the very least the warmth they provided. Over to micky ds and a quick sausage biscuit and coffee and rollin by 0700. South and west out of here over towards Branson little further west south of Branson and into Arkansas. When i got to Berryville the gas gauge was needing attention. Glad i filled in Berryville. 3.30.9 because in Eureka Springs it jumped .19 to .26 cents a gallon more!! Embarrassed Went all the way thru town on U S 62 and out the other side and found a gas station to turn around in. As i had my back to the highway i heard another Valkyrie pull away from the stop sign heading back into E S. Tried but couldn't catch him. I stopped at the leather shop i had seen on the way out of town. As i was talking with a very nice young lady i hear a Valkyrie pull into the lot of the leather shop. Yuppers-tied up with gordorad!! Wink We talked-he took a picture of me(thank GOD i wasn't the cause of an expensive camera failure) went to micky ds fer some iced tea and went out to that wild animal rescue refuge. We need to all of us make that a stop while we are down there in July. cooldude I managed to dump my Valkyrie in the parking lot of the refuge. Cry Front end washed out on the sand/gravel parking lot and i low sided it at walking speed. Needed gordorads help getting it back on two wheels, Thanks man. cooldude Went dowtown with him and saw that yellow and cream one he took pictures of. Very nice couple. You do meet the nicest people on a Honda. Cheesy The leather jackets felt good while we were rolling but as soon as we parked it was a tad warmish. Had crystal clear blue skies all day and low to mid 70s and very low humidity. All my years riding yesterday was an easy top 5 day. Got home about 2045 last night and just such a great day for a ride. The phatt ghurl gave me 379 trouble free miles and a lot of grins giggles and laughs. That cool dry air seemed like i had 20 extra horsepower!! Cool As i had never been to E S before just my few hours down there-we is gonna have a serious amount of fun there come July. coolsmiley Now you see why i posted seperate. DID NOT want to hijack someone(gordorad) elses thread. cooldude Can't wait to meet a lot of you people i only converse with on the computer now. There be some fine riding to be had there. Getting there and back from my Lacasa was a good ride in and of itself. RIDE SAFE.

sorry you had such a bad day what with having to pick up your dragon

I hope you apologized to her and washed her after    coolsmiley

For sure that is a nice area of the country and south and east of Eureka Springs is some very good roads for the art of riding a motorcycle

Y'all are going to have a really good time this summer.

Watch out for the chiggers and poison ivy, dont ask how I know

Hint  BE CAREFUL WHERE YOU WALK IF YOU TAKE A PIC NEXT TO THE PIGTRAIL SIGN   tickedoff

Oss that short stretch of U S 62 west of town that i rode is a test of the art of riding a motorcycle. coolsmiley Being as i live in the Show Me i have ample oppurtunity to check my riding skills. Grin I may not be as fast as some nor as slow as some. 2funny My entire riding style is meant to get me back safe and sound after a great day of riding. coolsmiley I paraphrase here-a less than fair day of riding beats an excellent day at work. cooldude RIDE SAFE.

glad that you got out in some nice weather and very nice country.  I went for a much shorter ride today but since i generally ride solo I worry about picking up the Vstrom.  Although it doesn't weigh nearly as much as the Valkyrie it falls over completely horizontal with the wheels in the air sorta like a road kill possum that's been in the sun awhile. Smiley

I cannot lift it by myself.  The 'back up to it and push it up using your knees' doesn't work for me because my knees don't work like that anymore.

I find that I'm making excuses not to ride in Ft. Wayne.  It's not a big city by Eastern standards (250,000 pop) but it has more than its share of idiots and all streets are surface streets.

I'm in a nice position to ride east, no big towns, or get on the interstate 4 miles from my home, and ride in nice country although flat as a pancake.
