....one part is the Clearview shield. I had just bought one not too long ago....with the vent...the 19 inch model...in grey tint. it got some damage in the wreck.

so this last weekend, i thought ...since i knew i had a new one coming, why not experiment with the old one.....and see HOW GOOD...i could make it look? so i took some #2000 sand paper (for finishing paint jobs)...and fine wet sanded the shield. A little at a time. and it just looked better and better. Finally, after sanding quite some time and taking ALL BUT TWO TINY SCRATCHES OUT, i used Novus plastic polish to finish it off.

then i waxed it. i'm telling you, i was shocked.....to see JUST HOW GOOD...it turned out!

So, if any of you ever have a wreck or damage with a CLEARVIEW shield  (or similar shield with SIMILAR material...i KNOW this would NOT work on an OEM Honda one with a lexan coating!)....all is not lost. Get some #2000.....some Novus plastic polish....and some "elbow grease".

And lastly, IF SOMEONE WANTS THIS SHIELD...the "repaired one"...i have the original shipping carton (the one my new one came in today)....and this shield could be YOURS for a LOT cheaper than a new one. Like a resonable offer...and i can ship!

if no one wants it, i'll hold onto it as a spare. I'm telling you, because it had like just about zero flaws before.....was pretty new...and now after my "repair"...this thing looks very acceptable.

Just thought i'd offer the "fix it" tip and to sell it if it might help someone out..........
