Well, having suffered intermittent power fade while out with She Who Must Be Obeyed (that's the bike with power failure , not me , tho she can have that effect)..

I took the tank off and airbox out and cleaned up all the electrical contacts on the coil wires, added a new battery (been meaning to do that) and spotted a kinked hose on the Joop fuel gauge I had installed. I shortened the hose and then re-assembled. Got stuck with the airbox until I tried the ratchet method of holding the box down.  cooldude

Had meant to change the HT wires but had to cancel the order as I was told I had lost my job (also had to give up idea of Inzane at this point) ... Don't know where the next Buck is coming from now..

Re installed the fuel tank and connected the hoses and petcock, and fired her up. Started instantly.

Went out on her and BOOM! All the power is back (and then some) - quicker acceleration and easier to rev. Brilliant. Re-calibrated the fuel gauge and all good to go. Grin Grin

Many, Many thanks to all the people on here that helped with suggestions. cooldude My guess is that it was the fuel supply issue due to the bent hose.. Embarrassed My fault then for a poor gauge install.

I have always found when the Valk has a problem
the first thing I ask is what did I do last to her.
I have been lucky and so far it has been all ME!
 Good that you found it.

Sorry to hear about the job, I keep hearing more and more about this problem.. Too bad.. Hope you're back to work soon..
As far as the Valk, glad to see its back up and running.. I don't remember seeing anything about the added fuel gauge..
