PETCOCK & FILTER

My bike sat for 2 years , I pulled the petcock and the filter screen was deteriorated . I got a new one from Honda , its got a black spacer with it , where does it go ? Inside the filter somewhere I'm sure , bottom , middle , top ? , Also my pet rooster is leaking fuel externally , seems like its coming from the stem side . Can anyone help me .

Look up in your old filter, you'll find that little part halfway up... you'll
see how to put it up in your new filter...

Search the tech board for "cover set" and "pingel" and decide whether
to rebuild your petcock or replace it.

Also search for "hydo lock" so you'll know how important it is to believe
that your petcock is working correctly...
