I finally broke down and purchased an OEM windshield for my Std. I took a quick look at "things" while grilling dinner last evening and am slightly ashamed to admit I have no clue how the upper mounting brackets attach to the bike. (Maybe after I remove the National Cycle shield it will become clearer.)

It looks like the bottom mount attaches to the holes where the headlight is mounted in the lower fork mount.

Anyone have any close-up pics of a mounted OEM shield or detailed installation instructions?

Nevermind. Just did a search and found some instructions.

Leave it to me to do it bass-ackwards!

Where did you find an OEM windshield for the Valk?  My dealer says he can't find one. Thanks,  Lee

It was a used one. Check the classifieds on this site. From time to time one shows up there. In fact, the same person from whom I purchased mine advertised another one very shortly after I struck my deal with him. I don't know if it's still available or not.

I have searched and you can still find OEM Honda windscreens from Honda. I have not had a dealer yet tell me he could not get one the price is realy different from dealer to dealer.  I just bought one and installed it to replace original CT shield that has fadinging etc. They range from $234.00 at some to 300.85 from Champions Honda out of Cocoa Beach Florida, that is the online price. Look up under windscreen on OEM partsfinder.
