Anybody know offhand what size allen wrench fits the rotor pin for brake pad service is? I want to go shopping for a socket type allen tool to fit a ratchet. Don't have any metric allen tools on hand to check. Thanks.

I can't remember that one, but why not buy a set?  You'll need other sizes for other fasteners on the Valkyrie.

I'l buy a set when a deal comes along, need s.a.e. set also. Just want to get by and recoup from a battery, tire, and brake pad wound to the back pocket. When I invest in tools, I like the best that money can buy, only  I like them half price.

Most everything on the bike is either 5 or 6, but I'm leaning toward 5 for the brake pad pin.  Definitely not 7.

I got tired of people guessing so I went out and removed the locking screw and yes the pin is a 5 mm allen head .

Sears has sets that are usually on sale and even if they are not they are good and inexpensive and exchangeable.

Trip to the flea mkt. paid off. Found a set of long handle allen wrenches from Sears with speed dealies on the long end (not marked Craftsman) priced $5. Says lifetime warranty. Also set of allen sockets priced $6, package deal $10. All made over yonder. Man said he would have Klien wrenches next week. I'll get my brake job done with these, when I replace them I give them to no. 1 grandson to work on his Cowasaki.
