I took a piece of angle iron a few inches long and bolted it to the kick stand bolt underneath

I had a void where the fuel selector was when I converted to a Pingel, so I plugged the hole with a Stebil

I mounted mine in my Interstate pod.  If you don't have an Interstate that might be difficult.

Same place as Chris and Marty, only difference is mine is turned sideways to still allow easy access to the OEM petcock.

I don't have a picture at the moment but I mounted my Stebel to the stock horn mount. I found a little "L" bracket and it bolted right up. I will eventually find a little thicker (stiffer) bracket because it wiggles a little bit on bouncy roads, but it was the easiest place to mount and it's right out where it can be heard.  For the record, IMHO, the Stebel is the best "honk" for the buck. It's stupid loud and I'm pretty sure I've caused more than one cage driver to crap their pants.

Two heavy zip ties figure eighted and hung underneath by kickstand has worked great for me for 6-7 years now.

If you take a hard hit on the forks you'll probably ruin the fender. Not much room when the forks are fully compressed.

+1 to what Sandy said about compression.  Its also a bad place to mount because it faces forward direct into any rain and other stuff (bugs, debris etc).  The stebel compressor is supposed to be mounted mostly vertical.

Mines mounted on the clutch side
