it is fun watching some people drive in florida. came to a stop light in the right hand lane in a gentle left hand curve. the light truns green and the car in front of me starts rolling and at the same time moving over in the left lane. no turn signal and the car already IN the left lane didn't even honk.

the car merges all the way over then realizes his mistake and gets back over in the right lane.

I decided not to pass him EVER!  Evil

I got t  boned by someone running a red light when I lived in Vero Beach.  I was pretty pissed because I had just bought my Jeep (my first new car) and it still had the paper license plates on it.  I jumped out and started hauling the other driver out his window to beat him senseless until I saw that he was a priest.  Sigh.  The church made good but, damn.

many years ago when i started driving when your side turned yellow the other drivers would slow down so you could make your turn,,well a few years ago (20 or so) the light turned yellow so i took off on my bike to turn left,, well the oncoming cars didnt even try to slow down,,as it turned out their side was still green,,scared the poo poo outta me....cant trust any lights now days..

Daniel.......

That's an old sign and it's pretty famous  I live here where that sign used to be.  It was on the intersection of Highway 98 and Perry for years and years (back in the 60's, 70's and most of the 80's).  It was so that everyone coming off of Brooks Bridge could turn north onto Perry from 98 so the traffic wouldn't back up over the bridge.  It was a real problem especally during tourist season.

In most of Florida, you can turn right on red after coming to a stop....but the problem was, people would stop and stay there backing up the traffic.

The light pole, the traffic lights and the sign have since been changed (the sign several times) since then.  This is a pic of that intersection today....

The problem with that interstection today is that someone in the Department of Transportation keeps changing their minds and changing the sign and the rules.  One day you can turn right on red, and other times you can't.  The cops have a field day writting tickets when you can't.

This is the intersection where that sign used to be.......
