So following everyones' expert advice I am staying away from the cheap EBay backrests and going with a quality unit. I like the Utopia because it matches the factory vinyl and looks factory. Had a Mustang on a Shadow once and found it to be the most comfortable seat I ever had, including being more comfortable than my 2002 Goldwing. But I don't know if the Mustang vinyl will go with the trunk's backrest or not. Anyone have any pics of a Mustang on an Interstate? What about the Saddlemen, any experience? Wish Mustang made a trunk backrest. And before anyone starts I am not interested in an Ultimate or Corbin. Sat on both and didn't care for them. I have a Diamond seat now which is very comfortable on long rides but don't really care for the velour covering and it doesn't have a backrest so fixing to put it in the classifieds.

Don't know if you realize it but Ultimate seats conform to your butt. If you sit on someone else's it may or may not work for you.

How about a Russell Day Long seat?
If you are a long distance rider, that is the best seat you can come up with.

Mustang and Saddlemen are the same company. Seat styles vary but it is the same outfit.

Yea, I was really looking for a pic of the seat on an Interstate so I could tell how well the vinyl matches the factory trunk backrest. I'd buy that seat off you but I want a rider backrest.

I have a Ultimate w/backrest and love it. The combo rider and passenger seats and backrests were around $1000, but as they say you get what you pay for. Great seat!

Finally some useful information! Seats and bike look great. You wouldn't be interested in selling the seat would you? Could throw in a factory seat as well.

Rude Dog, Do you still have the trunk and bags? If so would you be interested in selling them?
