Northern New Mexico

Had a better than expected turn out this year, not sure of the total head count, maybe Steve or Chuck will chime in. The wind played a bit of a part on some of the rides but was otherwise manageable.  cooldude

F6Banger even took us on a couple roads that were new for me and a good alternative to the usual.

Here's a handful of shots for your viewing pleasure with several more I'll provide on a link below.

I didn't make it out there until Saturday a.m., here's a couple heading down the hill from Los Alamos.

It's about an hour and a half ride to LV from my place. Beautiful weather heading out.  Smiley

The Days Inn - I arrived in about 40 minutes before the ride. Too early to check in dangit...  Undecided

From Saturdays ride:

Alpacas, Llamas?

A brief rest stop for some hob-nob'n

Back on the road, I'm already tasting lunch...  Roll Eyes

Lunch stop - Guadaljara Grill in Taos. I apologize in advance, I was a bit remiss in catching shots of the food this trip (or food porn as LadyDraco puts it). I'll try to do better next time.

Rest stop: The Sipapu Lodge/Ski Resort

And we're off...

Another quick stop to take in the view...

And then back to the motel for the evening.

From Sundays lunch run to Chimayo with lunch at Rancho de Chimayo. A good part of this run was in part a backtrack of some of the reverse route from yesterday so I'll spare you the similar shots taken.

I think everybody tried out the Prickly Pear Lemonade. Pretty good stuff!  cooldude The patio dining was nice (should have gotten a few more shots of the venue, lots of tree's, a nice setting.
Sadly, I had some great green chile stew but no pic's...  Embarrassed I believe the overall consensus on the food was 2 thumbs up.  Wink

A handful of folks took a quick stroll through the Santuario de Chimayo. This is the place that is reported to have over 30,000 people from all over the state (plus) make a pilgrimage to here during Holy Week, with many making the trek on foot for days and/or miles.  angel

And, back on the road.

The next morning, those remaining had breakfast at Johnny's, said our goodbyes and it was homeward bound:

It was nice seeing a lot of the folks and at least for me meeting several new.

Here's the link to these and many more pic's, hope you enjoy them:

Thanks for the post Gary.  It was great meeting you!   I always wondered what my bike looked like from behind while riding.   Hope I didn't irritate you too much with the slack I kept getting between me and the others....

Great pics!!

Nope, you were a fine frontal rider. It was nice to meet you and the Mrs., Craig. Glad you were able to make it out.
