We kinda started this ride friday night with folks from Alabama,Indiana,Illinois,Texas,Iowa and Wisconsin ridin' in to my hometown we did a nice ride around Norris Lake in the dark. Saturday morning we crossed The Great Smoky Mountains and hit The Blue Ridge Parkway traffic was outstanding with very few getting in our way all day as we made our way to Blowing Rock,NC and then down to Lenior,NC for the over-night.First picture is from the highest point on the BRP.The weather all weekend was perfect I even got cold a few times as we crossed the BRP.
I'm no flower person but these are in full bloom all across the BRP and I must say it's a beautiful sight to see.I heard one person call them rhododendron and another call them mountain laurel as far as I know both could be the samething.

We hooked up with some more folks from our club in Lenior for the sunday ride. Paul ( Britman ) had a awesome ride planned out for the ride on sunday.

A outstanding weekend ride that I needed and enjoyed...."The Money Shot " taken near where a BMW rider was killed saturday on The Blue Ridge Parkway when he was ran over at a over-look.I will add that saturday morning I was almost plowed over as well when a woman talking on her cell just about ran me over at a redlight in Clinton,TN.
