This past week we've been in D.C. to attend a wedding of my wife's oldest grandson....first grandchild to get married. You know she wouldn't miss that for the world. I had mentioned to "Jess from VA" some time back that we were going to be in the area and made arrangements to meet up. He came and picked me up last Friday morning and gave me a "window" tour of the area. Sure is some beautiful scenery in the Virginia countryside, I got a few shots of old rail and stone fences, among other interesting items. We stopped in a place he said is noted for drawing bikers on weekends, had a sandwich and a cool one, a long chat about our days in the Air Force, just a pleasant afternoon.
He got me back in time for the Rehearsal Dinner that evening, but my wife had already asked to be excused. Now it was my turn to be thrilled beyond measure!

It was a good day, spent with pleasant company, and I got to see some of the areas he and his fellow riders travel off the beaten path.
Jess, thanks for a great afternoon, hope our paths cross again one day.
