  To those who where asking last time this was posted, that metal to metal noise was coming out of the differential. It was a dry spline. Dealership said it should be lubed everytime the tire is changed, funny they changed the tire last time. Oh well, lubed up, no noise, no damage done, giddy-up!

If you heard a metal to metal grinding sound and didn't have damage, then you're mighty lucky.

Check the pinion cup and drive shaft end.  If the drive splines weren't serviced, I'll bet those weren't either.
