Can moly paste be used on all the rear spline components and the driveshaft output shaft splines?  I've read that moly grease is recommended for the shaft splines.

Most of us don't use Hondas 60% paste on anything. If you mix it with some Bel Ray waterproof grease, it's OK. The drive shaft splines should have a moly grease which has 2-3% moly content.

Don't put moly-60 on your driveshaft ends... I did it once early on... wrong kind of lube...

I feel it caused this...



The manual specifies "moly grease", and just a very little bit of it, on the pinion end of the
shaft... moly grease is grease with a little molybdenum in it, moly paste seems like not
grease at all, with tons of molybdenum in it... I make sure the holes in the bottom of
the pinion cup are clear so that final drive oil flows through them, and my pinion end looks
like this when I change tires now:
