I've got about 100,000 miles on a car tire for my rear tire. I got 50,000 out of the last one! I've been running the hankook k106 in a 205x55x16 and loved the way it handled. However, hankook stopped making the k106.  Sad So, after a lot of looking a different tires for the rear of my Valk... i settled on a (http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=BFGoodrich&tireModel=g-Force+Sport+COMP-2)

Well it sucks! My normal gforce lane changing canon carving solid like a train track bike has been reduced to a boat! It floats around just on the verge of a wobble. It feels like i'm steering the rear tire constantly at low speeds.

It was suppose to be a great tire! I've tried 35psi...50psi and 60psi.

I'm stumped! Shocked

Normally it takes about 1,000 miles for the sidewalls to break in then they become more flexible.  You're the first I've heard of running that tire.  I run at 40 psi during the breakin period then drop the pressure in 2 psi increments until I'm happy with the ride and handling, normally 30 or 32 psi.

My Bridgestone 0019 took about 1500 miles to break-in. The first few miles were certainly different, but it settled down pretty quickly. Now with 3000 miles on it I can carve the curves with the best of em and it feels more solid than a MT.

Hankook Ventus 2 and have no complaints. I've got around 10k on it now and this is the 5th or 6th car tire I've ran on 4 Valks over the last 7 or 8 years.
