Morning all..
Was skimming through the Valkyrie stuff on e-bay tonight and came across an interesting ad.
Even as a new Valkyrie owner, or, because I am now a Valkyrie owner, I had to do a double take when I saw this.
Check this out. The ad said...

Hachette Mega Bikes Collection 1:18 - Maisto - Honda Valkyrie F6C GBP 14.99
Approximately US $23.28

Now, as any self respecting owner of the greatest Motorcycle on the planet would do, I clicked on "Contact Seller" and sent him a very nice, polite e-mail, informing him of this grievous error!  Shocked  Told him that there had been a terrible, terrible mistake. That, maybe, in the excitement of thinking he had finally acquired  one of these hard to find, Die Cast Scale Models of these legendary machines for himself, and in his zeal to share with the world his passion for these one of a kind technological marvels of the road, just maybe there was something he needed to pause, and take a look at. Of course, I explained that it could have been one of those dreaded HD people Evil, working down at the packing house, playing a cruel joke on some poor unsuspecting soul who wanted nothing more than to share his admiration for the true epitome of the modern engineering marvel known as "The Valkyrie".
I very nicely and politely pointed out that someone would probably be wanting their money back if/when they noticed this mistake  tickedoff, and that it would save him no end of headache's  Embarrassed to try and correct this before some poor, innocent young child  angel was forever misled as to the true nature of our beloved Valkyrie!

   A Valkyrie Owner
I really was nice to him and hope that it's just a matter a not paying attention. Hopefully, saved him from the complaint dept. at e-bay.  police Kinda made my day! ( yeah, I know. I have way to much time on my hands. ) Been off work all week with what my Dr. says is a mild case of pneumonia. Feeling a lot better now, and used the time to pick up a few parts off e-bay for the Black Pearl! Now you have to admit that life just doesn't get much better than that. 9 days off work, shopping for Motorcycle parts from the comfort of my lazy boy, and getting paid to stay home, with my Valkyrie waiting for me in the garage. And the Dr. said NO Exertion! Told me to stay in my lazy boy and rest. What other choice did I have? You can't argue with your Dr ! So, some parts are on the way, and I found out that I can even have fun on e-bay!  cooldude
Wish I'd thought to mention to him that I would have loved to have that data sheet he was offering with the bike. I'll be the first to admit that I do have a 1:18 scale die cast model Black Valkyrie Standard sitting here on my desk! Display stand has a nice imitation brass plaque that says Honda F6C on it. Think it came from somewhere in Europe. Made by Welly. Mostly plastic, but still, very cool! coolsmiley
Anybody else got one? Did you find one to match the color of your Valk?  Come on, admit it, you know you looked for one, didn't you??   Roll Eyes  Surely I'm not the only one???

I never win anything. Except at Cheaha. Chrome radiator cover, Chrome neck cover, Chrome
other things from Big Mike for the front, Daniel Meyer's compilation book, Plastic polisher...
and a Red and White Valkyrie model...

No more Cheaha, back to no more winning stuff...  Roll Eyes

Must have been a model of the test bike for the VTX engine.   coolsmiley

I too have 4 of them, unfortunately none of them match my bike. 1-yel/blk, 1-or/blk, 1-blu/wht, 1- rd/wht and I send one rd/wht to my neighbor for his shelf. Guess I'll just have to keep looking for an all black std.

Agree with Jess. The large single pushrod tube looks like a Roadstar engine.

Just checked, 2 days after getting notified that it's the wrong bike, the listing is still on ebay.
Hopefully, everyone else that looks at it will also notice the difference, and it's just gonna sit there for a looooong time.
