So I figured out a way to add it.

Original thoughts were to extend the scoop on the crash bar forward and mount the lights to the extension, but when I started looking and poking around, I realized that the my highway pegs bracket would make a great point to mount a short piece of angle iron and bolt the lights to that.
Picked up a cheap set of lights from the local wally world, not too impressed with them and may replace them with something more impressive, but these work for now.
Tied into the blue/white wire on the bike side of the 9 pin red connector inside the fairing and used that to signal a relay that is powered (via a fused wire) from the battery. I don't have a switch inline with this signal wire yet, but when I find one that I like, I will add it. For now, they're on all the time unless I'm hitting the starter button. I'm also not happy with the wiring setup, next time I have a need to pull the tank off, I'll pull the pods and wire them up through the pod.
Used an old shelf upright for the angle iron - it was laying around and free is good. Trimmed it to length, smoothed out all the rough edges, drilled necessary holes and primered/painted them black.
Here's the finished product (ignore the filthy bike

):
