Been running a Michelin Alpin RF on my 1800 and liking it, so I ordered one for my IS. They don't make the 205 in a Run Flat so I ordered a Non RF.  Is anyone running this tire?

Got a Bridgestone on the Front of the Wing. What's the front tire of choice for the Valk?

Never heard of your rear tire.  Most popular front tires seem to be the Avon Cobra and the Metzler 880.  There's some of us running rear tires on the front.  I'm using the Avon AM-26 Roadrider rear tire in 130/90R-17.

It's the current favorite on the GL1800 board. Here is one thread from their Darkside board.

I run a Falken Ziex ZE-512 205/65R-16 on the back. I like the slightly rounded profile....
I run a Dunlop D404 130/90-17 bias rear on the front. Dynabeads all round.

Never heard of your tire.
I went cheapy on this time around.
Standard 99 CF Valk.
Sunny LT 195-65-16 rear. Chinese made light truck tire hard to get mind you as the Vanco is even harder to find lately.
With a Kenda Challenger rear in 130-90-17.
This inexpensive combo actually is working out pretty good.
As Im a straight line rider. Just highway no high speed riding for me.
Rear didnt have to be top tier quality.
Front was faily cheap too in case I didnt like it.

Edit:If youd like a picture I can always take one and add it.

I like the looks of the Michelin. Where did you find it in a 205-65/16?

I'm still looking for a 195-65/16 with directional tread.  Anyone know where I can find one?

I'll be needing a new back tire in a few more thousand miles.

That tire looks good on the wing.  cooldude

195-65-16 is a European Light truck size tire.
No vehicle sold in the USA uses it.
There is the Vanco 2 which I use on my RoadStar.
And I have a Sunny which is Chinese made on the Valk.
Its half the tire the Continetal is.

Oh yah also Vredestein has it but Ive never seen one.

If there is something else.............Id love to know.

Is the 205/60-16 the same circumference as the stock tire. If anything I'd like to see the RPM come down a little.  cooldude

Can't wait to see the pics of the new tire on your Valk!

Almost the same well more or less the same size and rev per mile wont change much.

This isnt 100% the same when comparing bike to car tires but its close enough
Something to play with and plug in sizes.

I went to the "darkside"........and I found some pro's.......and con's....... Undecided

I mounted a Douglas GT-H.  It looks real nice, and on the  "super-slab's"..........it is a dream come true!!

But in corners.......it SUCKS!!   It is "white knuckle" time, every time!!

I am thinking I should have gone with the "softer" side walled "S" rated tire......"H" rated is for high performance cars........and maybe a little too stiff.......and "square" shaped.

It HAS me giving thought.......to mounting a sidecar though!!!   LOL!!!    THEN it would be the perfect tire!!!
