Just heard on the news that prisoners at Gitmo were dying to talk to interrogators after this song was played over and over and over . . . Apparently a lot of other Sesame Street songs were pretty effective also.

Any recordings of that whining Neal Young attempting to "sing" would get us telling all we know pretty quick. Trouble is, we don't know anything.
We trudge on.

You know, I like Neil Young, but I often wonder who it was who heard him singing and said; "Hey Neil, you should make a living with your voice."

You know, I like Neil Young, but I often wonder who it was who heard him singing and said; "Hey Neil, you should make a living with your voice." there are several rock icons that would never have made it on America Idol. Neil is one, Bob Seger, Rod Stewart, Iggy Pop to name a few.

The same person that thought Bob Dylan should sing his poetry instead of writing it and letting someone else sing it? EXACTLY. Dylan is another one that I think about. Though I like Neil Young's voice more than Dylan's. I think it works better with his music.

In this day and age, thanks to music videos, music execs don't choose artists and bands on talent alone. They have to be physically attractive. That's ended up being the top requirement which has ended up in some artists that have the talent of a dead gopher.

I'd agree with that but it's got a flip side; SUSAN BOYLE.
